Football Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global break, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer side," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' only on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I will choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

My son told me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

They have have lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
