It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batters to possess a record if never given the opportunity.

That loss "pushed us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She ensured her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this latest epic knock topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the case for final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was far harder to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she was the highest scorer, but this knock was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in training, it was a frustrating experience because it appeared I lacked timing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit take over and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the young fast bowler in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and from there the batsman was underway.

"An opportunity to go out there and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was out Australia needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm pleased we have the confidence to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can do it."

Those words will be the last competing nations at this tournament want to hear.

During the last week a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.
